Membership Renewal 2024

1 - Individuals: Every 2024 USA member of SkateIA will be AUTOMATICALLY covered under our group policy. That means for most cases, you will not need to purchase separate insurance, which brings down your cost to just $110 (early bird, $125 after January 10th) for your 2024 SkateIA Membership (including insurance), as opposed to $230 in 2023 for membership with add on insurance. Please remember that you must use SkateIA teaching methodologies, SkateIA safety standards, and appropriate safety gear (relevant for the particular skating discipline, see below, with full details in our Membership Guidelines) in your classes for the insurance coverage to apply.

 2 - Individuals that require an actual Certificate of Insurance to operate their business: You’ll need to purchase an individual policy, as insurance regulations no longer allow us to include those certificates in our group policy. The cost for that is $385 which includes a small processing fee that we need to pass on. The good news is that this policy will be under YOUR name, not SkateIA’s, and is still a $1 million / $3 million aggregate policy, and can be used for multiple locations just like last year. Please reach out to us early if you’d like this coverage as it takes a couple days to process.

3 - Skate Schools: We no longer need to offer this and it is now cheaper to be a member of SkateIA as a skate school: You can get a Certificate of Insurance for just $385 (down from $1150 last year). This covers all of your instructors and up to 360 students. If you teach in excess of 360 students, you can add them as needed at a later date for $1 per student. Skate School instructors still need to purchase their own memberships, but designated Skate Schools (has 100% Skate IA membership participation, any country) will be sent a small discounted price for their instructors to register.
