My name's Mike, and I've been skating in New York City for the past 6 or so years.
I'm currently on the staff of Wednesday Night Skate (https://www.instagram.com/wednesdaynightskatenyc/), and an organizer of the Empire Skate Club of New York's Big Apple Roll (one of the largest annual street skating events in the country - https://bigappleroll.org/). While I love the freedom and excitement of skating on the streets of NYC, I also enjoy aggressive / skate park skating, speed skating, slalom, and have recently started playing skate tag.
I became SkateIA-certified to learn safe, effective teaching methods that would allow me to share my passion and knowledge with other people. As an instructor, I aim to give you the skills and mindset that will let you take control of your own skating journey.
